You can create a "Placeholder" in your calendar in order to show a specific slip or mooring should be held for for different boaters or events. (Example: you have a large yacht club coming in but they haven't requested reservations yet so you put a placeholder down for them as a group). Please note: a placeholder is not a substitute for an active reservation, it is an internal note for you and your team in order to help track specific needs at the marina.
In order to create a placeholder, follow the instructions below.
- Click into your Assignments page from the left hand menu of your Dockwa account.
- In your calendar, choose the plus button next to the mooring or slip number you'd like to create a placeholder on.
- This will open up a small screen where you can select the start and end date and create a placeholder note (i.e. reason for the placeholder or name of boat/s).
- When you've entered the information you want, don't forget to click the green "save" button on the bottom of the screen!
- This placeholder will then show up in blue in your calendar and display the text that you put into the note section. You will need to make a separate placeholder for each mooring/slip you'd like to show up in the calendar.
